Sunday, December 05, 2004

From The KCRG-TV9 Waterloo Newsroom

Some local soldiers have received word they'll be spending the holidays overseas this year.

More army reserve soldiers from the 445th Transportation Company, headquartered in Waterloo, are being called to active duty.

The 445th is a medium truck company trained to haul a variety of cargo including food and ammunition.

A farewell ceremony will be held Wednesday afternoon at the U.S. Army Reserve Training Center in Waterloo.
